If all documents are correct and the application is e-signed successfully, IEC is typically generated automatically or within 1-3 working days.
What is the fee for an IEC?
The official government processing fee for a new IEC application is ₹500, payable online during the application process.
Do I need to renew my IEC?
IEC is valid for a lifetime. However, DGFT mandates that all IEC holders update their details electronically every year between April and June, even if there are no changes. Failure to do so leads to deactivation.

Can individuals apply for IEC?
